Alex's practice covers a full spectrum of international capital markets transactions, including high-yield, investment-grade and convertible bond offerings and initial public offerings in the United States and Hong Kong. He also regularly advises corporate clients on SEC compliance and corporate governance matters, bank financings, liability management, and cross-border debt restructurings. Alex has over 20 years of experience and has represented market-leading companies in China across a wide variety of sectors, including technology, media and telecoms, consumer products, renewable energy, industrial, real estate, and oil and gas.
Before joining Han Kun, Alex practiced as a partner at Wall Street law firm Milbank LLP and at a "Magic Circle" firm Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman). Prior to that, he practiced for almost ten years at the New York and Hong Kong offices of Davis Polk & Wardwell, including two years as counsel. Alex has been consistently recognized as a leading individual in Capital Markets by Chambers Asia Pacific, The Legal 500 and IFLR, as well as an "Expert Based Abroad" in Capital Markets: High Yield Products for four years by Chambers USA.
