I am the Managing Partner of Irwin Mitchell’s Private Client Group and a partner in our Family Law team, working across our Manchester and London offices. I sit on the firm’s LLP Board and am responsible for leading and shaping one of the UK’s largest and most sophisticated private client practices.

Alongside my leadership role, I continue to advise clients personally on complex, high value family matters, including divorce, financial remedies and wealth protection. I am regularly instructed in high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth cases, often involving intricate trust structures, international assets, pensions, private equity interests and family businesses.

I am proud to be consistently recognised as one of the leading family lawyers in the UK. I am ranked as an Eminent Practitioner by Chambers and Partners, listed in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, and named in the eprivateclient 50 Most Influential guides 2025 and 2026. I have also been featured in The Lawyer’s Hot 100, the Citiwealth Top 50 Powerwomen, Who’s Who, and have been honoured as Partner of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards.

What matters to my clients is clarity, confidence and outcomes. They come to me at pivotal moments in their lives and expect advice that is technically exceptional, commercially astute and deeply human. I am known for giving clear, realistic advice, for cutting through complexity, and for being a strong advocate when it matters most.

My practice is rooted in strategy as much as law. I work closely with clients and their advisers to understand not only the legal position, but the wider context, commercial, emotional and generational. This allows me to design solutions that endure, not just settlements that conclude proceedings.

I have a particular reputation for complex financial remedies and disputes; pre nuptial and post nuptial agreements for entrepreneurs, executives and internationally mobile families; advising families on the preservation and transition of wealth across generations; cases involving private equity, carried interest and sophisticated investment structures; and disputes with cross border or jurisdictional complexity.

I also advise clients proactively, helping them plan and manage risk before issues arise, including through nuptial agreements and long term wealth planning.

In my role as Managing Partner of the Private Client Group, I lead teams across the UK and am responsible for strategy, performance and culture across private client services. I am passionate about building practices that combine technical excellence, outstanding client service and strong, modern leadership.

I do not believe in one size fits all solutions. Every client’s situation is unique, and my approach is always bespoke, purposeful and focused on achieving the right result.

To strengthen my insight into my clients’ commercial worlds, I recently completed a Global Executive MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School, delivered in partnership with Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Dubai. The programme significantly deepened my understanding of business, finance and leadership, knowledge I bring directly into my client work.

I was the first female Managing Partner appointed in the Manchester office and the firm’s first female Head of Family Law. I care deeply about developing talent, supporting diversity and creating an environment in which exceptional lawyers can thrive.

My commitment is to fight strenuously for a fair outcome, to be honest about risks and realities, and to navigate even the most complex cases with calm, confidence and integrity.
