Auriana Griffiths

I’m a partner specialising in medical negligence and head of the medical negligence department in our London office.

I mainly focus on complex obstetric cases, particularly those involving brain injuries caused by asphyxia or hypoglycaemia. I also work on wrongful birth claims and other serious neurological cases.

I’m recognised for my expertise in some of the UK’s leading independent directories, including Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. I’m listed in the Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for clinical negligence lawyers in London and have been consistently ranked for my expertise in Chambers and Partners for over 15 years. Much of my work involves supporting children and their families. I understand how overwhelming it can be for parents facing an uncertain future, and it’s incredibly important to me to help provide the reassurance that their child will always be cared for, even long into the future. Every child and family I represent has a unique story, which is why I take the time to understand not only what went wrong in their medical care, but also how the injury has affected their daily lives, future aspirations and long-term needs.

I’m passionate about resolving issues of liability as early as possible, so that rehabilitation, care, and support can be put in place while the case is ongoing. I also work closely with medical experts, case managers, and therapists to ensure families receive practical help at the earliest possible stage. For me, it’s about making a meaningful difference in my clients’ lives from the very start, not just securing compensation at the end.
