Richard represents clients on a wide range of U.S. and international tax matters, including federal and state income tax planning for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other taxable and non-taxable entities, including exempt organization tax planning and tax planning in connection with equity-based compensation. Richard's practice includes structuring corporate and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, redemptions, liquidations, affiliations, joint ventures, business formations, venture capital financing, security issuances, and equity-based compensation arrangements. His diverse multi-industry experience provides clients with practical tax-wise advice in structuring transactions to minimize tax burdens of businesses and individuals. Richard also has extensive experience handling tax audits and controversy matters. Prior to attending law school, Richard practiced as a certified public accountant at an international accounting firm.
Richard serves on the Board of Trustees of the Virtua Health Foundation.
