Career
Milán is an Of Counsel in the Dispute Resolution team of the Budapest office. Over the past 20 years, he has been involved in hundreds of litigation and arbitration cases and has also developed extensive expertise in pharma law and aviation law.
He focuses on (i) administrative, commercial and civil law litigation, as well as complex international and domestic arbitration; (ii) pharma law representing pharma companies in all matters; and (iii) aviation law including both airside and landside operations.
Clients also benefit from his significant experience in white collar matters, and his proven track record in the resolution of sensitive conflicts with governmental bodies.
Milán has advised and successfully represented pharmaceutical companies in marketing campaigns, negotiations with the Hungarian Pharmaceutical Authorization (OGYÉI) and subsidy negotiation with the state.
With regard to aviation law, he provided legal advice to Budapest Airport, the operating company in charge of Hungary's national airport, in a diverse range of complex matters, while he has also worked for Celebi Ground Handling at Budapest Airport in certain disputes with the State and external suppliers.
Milán is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University, where he teaches International Commercial Arbitration to foreign students.
Before joining Bird & Bird, he worked as partner at leading international law firms where he managed a team of 6-10 persons.
He speaks English in addition to his native Hungarian.
