Miguel C. Reis joined VdA in 2021 as Partner of Tax practice.

Miguel has over 35 years of extensive experience in domestic and international taxation. He has acted for a number of clients in the commercial, industrial, services, real estate and financial services sectors, in various types of transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers, reorganizations and restructurings; inbound and outbound foreign investments, project finance, securitizations and placements of both equity and debt (both for issuers and underwriters), domestic and international stock options and stock purchase plans, estate planning and structuring for high and ultra-high net worth individuals, and day-to-day tax advice for companies and financial institutions. His role included acting on all aspects of his clients’ business, with an emphasis on his areas of practice.

Miguel participates regularly as a speaker on tax issues in various conferences and seminars. He also teaches seminars in cooperation with law and business schools.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association.

Member of the Portuguese Fiscal Association (AFP – Associação Fiscal Portuguesa).

Member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
