Mike Crumbock represents clients in all areas of employee benefits law and executive compensation, including the tax, fiduciary, and other regulatory issues concerning qualified and non-qualified benefit plans, deferred compensation arrangements, equity incentives, and mergers and acquisitions. He represents multinational and domestic corporations, private equity firms, hedge funds, professional practices, nonprofit entities, and executives. Mike also counsels employers regarding independent contractor issues that affect employee benefit plans, including drafting benefit plans to properly carve out independent contractors from benefit eligibility provisions.
Mike also designs, drafts, and counsels universities with respect to 403(b) retirement plans, deferred compensation plans intended to comply with section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code, and other retirement and welfare benefit plans. He negotiates and drafts employment and separation arrangements for university presidents and other administrative professionals.
