Charles A. Jones

As a longtime litigator, Charles A. “Tony” Jones represents clients nationwide in high-stakes matters regarding directors and officers liability, professional liability, and general liability insurance policies. He brings an objective, analytical, and strategic approach to help insurance carriers maximize gains or limit exposures.

Tony is especially known for representing insurers in connection with coverage issued to health care providers – ranging from large hospitals and insurers to small practices and individual psychologists and psychiatrists – on a variety of coverage issues, including claims of negligence, fraud, employment discrimination, D&O liability, violations of the False Claims Act, and antitrust exposures involved in hospital and practice acquisitions.

To help his clients reach results that contribute to their overall business objectives, Tony addresses problems in a pragmatic and collaborative manner. He is often able to proactively work with all the parties involved – including the “other side” – to resolve issues. Of course, when litigation is necessary, Tony aggressively defends his clients and has prevailed in jurisdictions across the U.S. Tony routinely puts his experience and knowledge of the market to use in assisting clients in drafting and revising insurance policy forms and endorsements.

Tony is also a member of the firm’s Management Team and Policy Committee.

A passionate advocate for education and relief in areas of need, Tony is an active board member of Hope Africa Ministries, Inc. He is working with the nonprofit to build and improve a school in Western Kenya that is currently serving more than 400 students, among other things.
