Marius Ionescu is Co-Head of NNDKP Tax Advisory Services and has 28 years of professional experience in tax consultancy.
He has been a Tax Partner at the firm since 2008.
Over the course of his professional career, Marius has led numerous projects that focused on providing strategic advice to clients across a wide range of industries on assessing structuring options to enhance tax efficiency. His practice also includes advising clients on Romanian tax aspects of domestic and cross-border M&A and corporate restructurings, as well as assisting them in navigating the complexities of tax audits and resolving various contentious matters. Additionally, Marius regularly supports clients in tax compliance initiatives and in implementing efficient and sustainable tax functions.
His experience in the tax field is reflected in a strong portfolio of high-calibre clients across various industries, including energy, manufacturing, real estate, distribution, retail, mining, automotive, investments funds.
He is a member of the working groups advising the Ministry of Finance on the amendment of the Romanian Tax Code.
Also, he is one of the coordinators of NNDKP’s Center of Excellence in Fiscal Disputes (CELF).
Prior to joining the firm, his career included collaborations with Big Four companies.
