Anca Diaconu is Head of NNDKP’s Competition, State Aid, EU Law and FDI practices. She has been a Partner of the firm since 2022.
She has a wealth of experience advising on the full range of EU and Romanian competition law, spanning complex merger control, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, State Aid and FDI screening, as well as competition litigation.
Anca navigates competition-related aspects of cross-border transactions. She regularly assists clients with national and multi-jurisdictional merger clearance processes, FDI screening, and FSR notification strategies before the European Commission and the Romanian Competition Council.
She represents clients in high-stakes investigations and litigation, with a strong track record across the technology, pharmaceutical, FMCG, automotive, and construction sectors. She also leads court strategies that have resulted in preliminary references to the CJEU and advises on market-design and compliance projects.
She has a Law Degree (Maîtrise en Droit, Droit Européen) from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Collège Juridique Franco-Roumain d’Etudes Européennes. She also holds a Master’s Degree in International and European Business Law from the same institution.
