María Camila Parra Cortés is Director of the Real Estate & Urban practice at Pérez-Llorca. Over the course of more than 15 years of experience, she has developed a strong focus on urban planning law and real estate project structuring. Her expertise covers land development, territorial planning, and managing administrative procedures involving municipal and national authorities. She regularly advises clients on the legal feasibility of large-scale projects, ensuring alignment between urban planning instruments and business objectives.
Career
María Camila began her career as legal coordinator at a leading real estate development company, later serving as senior lawyer at firms specialising in urban and real estate law. She joined Pérez-Llorca in 2016, and was named Director in 2023. She is recognised as a Leading Associate by The Legal 500 2025 and as an Associate to Watch by Chambers Latin America 2025 in Real Estate.
Personal
María Camila is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA). She completed her law degree at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Bogotá, and holds specialisations in Administrative Law and Environmental Law (Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá), Contract Law and Legal-Business Relations (Universidad Externado de Colombia), and Territorial Planning and Land Management (Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá).
Work Highlights
María Camila has played a key role in a number of significant real estate and infrastructure projects, including advising on Bogotá’s First Metro Line, the structuring of the Madrid II partial plan for Amarilo, and the capitalisation of Viva Malls. She also supported the provisional management of the Lagos de Torca Trust. In addition to these large-scale initiatives, she provides ongoing counsel to PriceSmart, Fox Telecolombia, and the Anglo Colombian School on urban planning, construction permits, and real estate development strategies, combining technical knowledge with practical execution in highly regulated contexts.
