Dent successfully litigates cases ranging from individual discrimination matters to complex wage and hour class action lawsuits. She represents employers in off-the-clock claims, challenges to exempt status and other wage-related disputes. She also counsels and represents employers on a broad range of employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and leave laws. Additionally, Dent conducts and supervises internal investigations and defends whistleblower and retaliation claims.

Dent has won a defense verdict for a Fortune 50 company in an overtime class action trial; has secured defense verdicts as lead counsel for employers in discrimination trials; and defended off-the-clock and exempt status claims in multiple industries.
