Kiran Bhogal is Head of Hill Dickinson LLP’s Healthcare and Public Law Team and has over 32 years’ experience in NHS and public sector work.
Kiran is recognised as an expert in healthcare and public law and known for her depth of experience in all aspects of healthcare related law. She has a particular interest and focus on governance, inquiries and investigations, judicial review challenges, human rights, medical ethics and in the Court of Protection.
She has been the lead lawyer in a number of high-profile cases including in the Supreme Court (R v ACCG [2017] UKSC) with judgment awaited from the Supreme Court in a further case in which it has been considering Article 8 and Article 10 ECHR rights in the context of reporting restrictions orders.
Prior to qualifying in the UK, Kiran attended the Kenya School of Law when she undertook a mini pupillage before being admitted as a solicitor in the UK. She attained higher rights (civil) and was appointed a deputy district judge (SE circuit) in 2006.
