With over 25 years of experience acting for private and public companies (from SMEs and start-ups to PLCs and large global conglomerates), partnerships and high net worth individuals, Amanda has expertise in a wide range of contractual disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, breaches of directors’ duties, civil fraud claims and regulatory issues (both financial and legal). She also has significant experience in professional negligence, finance, construction and engineering, IT and software licensing. She deals with financial disputes, particularly in relation to property investment portfolios and disputes or investigations of a regulatory nature, as well as representing clients in disputes where insolvency issues arise. She also assists clients with issues of reputation management and/or defamation and is known for her swift and strategic advice.
Amanda regularly deals with highly complex claims, often with an international element, and acts as a trusted advisor to some large global conglomerates.
Amanda has experience in all dispute resolution processes including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, independent expert determination, mediation and settlement negotiations. She takes particular pride in being creative in resolving disputes so that clients can get back to their core business, rather than getting overly distracted by legal processes. If legal proceedings are needed, however, she has great strategic insight in running cases and is known for her analytical approach, tenacity, speed of response and razor-sharp mind. As a result, unusually for a commercial disputes partner, she has repeat clients who appreciate her commitment and understanding of their business.

Legal directory feedback refers to her as “exceptional - extremely responsive, very tenacious, and high-quality advice delivered at speed…” with a “razor sharp mind”.
She has also been described as “a ferocious litigator” and “hard-working and super responsive”. One client provided the following feedback which epitomises her approach:
“Amanda stands out as a tireless champion for our interests, almost worrying more about us than ourselves. Her response time is one of the best I have ever come across for any external service provider legal or non legal, and she keeps moving the file forward relentlessly towards a favourable outcome. Amanda always clarifies and simplifies complex and tangled issues which helps to guide action at moment of impasse. A core strength is that regardless of how much she invests in devising a solution, if the client is uncomfortable with it, she very easily comes up with multiple other options”
She has been ranked in Chambers for 4 years.
Amanda has also been recognised by Legal 500 as a Leading Individual in commercial litigation (for 5 years), professional negligence (for 2 years) and as a Recommended Lawyer in contentious construction (for 5 years)
