Mr. Shen joined Han Kun Law Offices at the end of 2021 and mainly engages in tax services. Mr. Shen began his professional career in the tax department of a "Big Four" accounting firm in 2009, during which he traveled for work to Europe, the United States, and other locations. Mr. Shen has a wide-ranging tax practice that includes: tax advisory related to mergers and acquisitions, business model optimization, investment fund establishment, equity incentive design and tax planning, and family wealth planning.
Mr. Shen focuses on China's "new economy" market and private enterprises. As for corporate services, Mr. Shen has participated in many high-profile merger, acquisition and restructuring transactions in Chinese technology industries, including but not limited to the integration of industry leaders, the privatization from the U.S. and Hong Kong and back to the A-share market, and the establishment of red chip structures for U.S. and Hong Kong listings. For individuals, Mr. Shen has designed and implemented equity incentive plans for dozens of Chinese companies listed on different capital markets. In the public policy arena, Mr. Shen has participated in tax policy research led by various ministries as well as discussions on personal tax system reforms.
