Mr. Yuan practices in the Beijing office of JunHe. Prior to joining JunHe in 2007, Mr. Yuan worked at Junyi Law Office (as partner from 1996) and Clifford Chance’s, London and Hong Kong offices (on secondment for one year) and C&C Law Office (as associate from 1993).
Mr. Yuan has over 30 years of experience in infrastructure investment and finance transactions, covering energy, communication, water and waste projects, and also dealing with related tendering and bidding, mergers and acquisitions – both domestic and overseas. His most recent experience is in the areas of foreign-invested seawater desalination and communication, municipal solid waste incineration and treatment, nuclear power, coal chemicals, reorganization, renovation and upgrading of water and wastewater treatment projects. He has also led legal services in several urban subway public and private partnership (PPP) projects in China, the acquisition of a water technical and engineering company by an environmental group in Sweden and the M&A financing involving iron ore mines in Australia and coal mines in Canada.
He has been ranked by Chambers Asia Pacific as Senior Statespeople in Projects & Infrastructure and by Legal 500 as Hall of Fame in Projects and Energy.
