Wenjing Tian

Ms. Tian Wenjing specializes in cross-border energy and infrastructure project, PPP, cross-border investment, international engineering and engineering dispute resolution, and international technology licensing.

Ms. Tian is familiar with the FIDIC contracts and the standard procurement terms of the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation  (JBIC), and has substantial experience in drafting engineering contracts and equipment import and export contracts. 

In addition, Ms. Tian also has extensive experience in dispute resolution related to international projects and engineering. She represented Chinese companies in many contractual and project claims as well as cross-border commercial arbitrations in Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Among others, she represented an SOE in dozens of disputes arising from its Southeast Asian crude oil pipeline project involving an aggregate value in dispute of US$350 million. She also represented an SOE in its two cross-border arbitrations before the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. In an arbitration regarding a technology licensing agreement dispute worth US$85 million before the Swedish Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, she helped the second respondent successfully win the award that released it from liability.
