Jeannie Heffernan is a successful trial lawyer and trusted client counselor who leads Kirkland’s IP litigation practice in Texas. She has won numerous patent trials in federal district courts across the country and at the International Trade Commission, with victories affirmed at the Federal Circuit. She represents clients in a wide range of fields, including computer networking, telecommunications, computer software and hardware, medical devices, and agricultural equipment, working closely with her clients to support their business goals with courtroom outcomes. In addition to leading high-stakes patent infringement litigation, Jeannie represents clients in matters involving allegations of copyright and trademark infringement, unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract.
