James leads Dentons Kensington Swan's Restructuring and Insolvency team. As an experienced litigator, James specialises in insolvency law, helping creditors and insolvency practitioners with businesses in financial distress.

Bringing over 18 years' experience in commercial litigation to his work, James acts for clients on a broad range of commercial disputes and frequently advises banks and insolvency practitioners on contentious and non-contentious matters relating to receiverships, liquidations, administrations and compromises. He works closely with bankers, legal counsel, boards, CFOs and CEOs, and insolvency practitioners.

James is highly regarded for his collaborative and thorough approach to managing complex cases, and is described as “an expert in insolvency and has a natural ability to home in on exactly what his clients need.”

He is ranked Band 3 in Chambers Asia Pacific 2021, is ranked as a leading lawyer by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2021 and is Highly Regarded in IFLR1000 2021.
