Dentons Kensington Swan’s Restructuring and Insolvency team is focused on serving banks and insolvency practitioners. Our commitment to unbeatable client service has seen us act in recent years for major trading banks, and other significant players in the insolvency market. Our expertise extends to alternatives to formal insolvency appointments, such as workouts and restructurings. We provide specialist legal advice to creditors and insolvency practitioners in relation to financial risk management, receiverships, administrations, liquidations and restructurings. In addition, we provide expert advice to shareholders and directors in relation to liability issues. We also have strong expertise in debt recovery and securities enforcement work. A unique focus for the team is on working with the firm’s construction and major projects department to assist with debt recovery and enforcement work, as well as priority disputes and voidable transactions. Our national team is comprised of dedicated specialists who are members of the Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association New Zealand Inc., the Banking and Financial Services Law Association, and the Institute of Financial Professionals New Zealand. We are also involved with the Asia-Pacific Loan Markets Association.
