Helen is a partner in the firm's Employment team and heads up the Leisure & Hospitality group. She advises organisations in various sectors including technology and hospitality on all employment and HR related issues with the aim of providing a workable solution which is commercial and pragmatic. Helen has particular expertise in complex discrimination, reorganisations and acquisitions involving employees. Helen is a fully qualified and accredited work place mediator and business coach. She also manages complex investigations in grievances, disciplinaries and whistleblowing allegations.
Helen qualified in a leading matrimonial firm in central London and dealt with multi £million financial cases. She was involved in 2 reported cases namely re A which was the first case under the Child Abduction Act 1984 and T V T in the Court of Appeal the first pension sharing case. Since 2001 Helen has been practicing employment law and acted for Serco in the landmark case of Lawson v Serco in the House of Lords in relation to employment rights of overseas workers.
