As Head of the EU & Competition Group in Italy, Federico's areas of expertise range from antitrust and regulatory proceedings to civil and administrative litigation, with a particular focus on regulated sectors, such as TMT.

Federico lectures on public economic law at the National School of Administration and often writes articles in leading national and international journals on antitrust and regulatory matters. He wrote a manual on European and national electronic communications law, adopted as a textbook in university courses.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, from 2001 to 2005 Federico was a legal officer at the Italian Communications Authority and, subsequently, until 2016 a senior associate in the Rome and Brussels offices of a major international law firm.
