Devin is a partner in the firm’s Environmental and Climate Change & Sustainable Business Solutions groups. He prides himself on partnering with clients to develop environmental compliance strategies to avoid and/or resolve regulatory enforcement and litigation while minimizing liabilities from past and current operations. Devin has extensive experience advising clients across diverse industries, including steel, glass and fiberglass, chemical, rubber tire, paints, coatings and adhesives, aggregate processing, refractory, automobile, aerospace, landfill, biogas, utilities, and appliance and tool manufacturing.

Devin maintains a broad practice in major areas of environmental law, with a strong focus on Clean Air Act compliance. He regularly advises on compliance for major (Title V and PSD) and minor sources, counsels on air permitting requirements for the construction of new and modified facilities and has defended numerous clients in enforcement actions brought by state environmental agencies, the EPA and the DOJ. Additionally, in the evolving climate change regulatory landscape, Devin provides insight and guidance to various clients on understanding and planning for greenhouse gas regulations. In addition to Clean Air Act compliance, Devin consistently provides counseling in emergency response situations such as spills of hazardous substances, accidents and equipment malfunctions, as well as proactive counseling through environmental audits, changes in regulated operations and assisting in the allocation of environmental liabilities in business transactions
