Carolina Bobillier Ceballos is a Partner in Pérez-Llorca’s Tax practice. With over two decades of experience, she focuses on estate and wealth tax planning for families, corporate tax structuring, and cross-border asset protection mechanisms. Her work also covers tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, and the structuring of entrepreneurial ventures and startups. In addition, she has developed significant expertise in advising nonprofit organisations, particularly those subject to Colombia’s special tax regime.
Carolina began her career in the legal department of a real estate firm, going on to serve as Director of the Legal Analysis Department at the Colombian Institute of Tax Law, and later as Tax Planning and Risk Management Manager at Avianca. She first joined Pérez-Llorca in 2006, later rejoining in 2015, taking up a partnership in the Tax Practice in 2022. She is recognised by Chambers Latin America 2025 in Tax, as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 2025, and as a Leading lawyer by Leaders League 2025 in Tax Law.
Carolina is a member of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT) and the International Bar Association (IBA). She holds a degree in law from Universidad de La Sabana, Chía, and a specialisation in Tax Law from Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Family Law at Universidad del Rosario.
Carolina has led high-level tax planning and corporate reorganisation mandates, including advising Guirnaldas, Agroince, and Bavaria on strategic restructurings. She has structured major projects for the transport and infrastructure sectors, such as Globalvia and Metro de Bogotá’s First Line, and has also advised on the tax aspects of loyalty programmes and mergers involving stock exchanges. Her experience further extends to advising NGOs and nonprofit entities on compliance with tax regulations and optimising their operational structures.
