Alberto joined Galicia in 2023 as an associate in the Civil & Commercial Litigation and Arbitration practices.
He typically represents insurance companies, banks and other major financial institutions in complex litigations across the country. Alberto has successfully represented clients in litigations regarding risk misrepresentations on insurance applications, bond recoveries arising from real estate projects and invalid board resolutions, among others. He also has extensive experience with trust disputes, advising trustees in asset protection matters.
Before joining Galicia, Alberto worked as an associate for two commercial litigation firms in Mexico.
He earned his law degree from Universidad de Monterrey (2016). His thesis, “Rights of settlors and beneficiaries against invalid resolutions of the board of trust protectors”, was published in the university’s library in 2017.
In 2023, Alberto obtained a master’s degree with a concentration in Business Law from The University of Texas at Austin. He was awarded the merit-based J. Curtiss Brown U.T.-Mexico Exchange Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law and was also recognized with the Dean’s Achievement Award for coming in at the top of this class in his International Commercial Arbitration course.
