“I am a very fortunate lawyer who has had the good fortune to be surrounded by a group of great professionals but above all, they are great human beings. What motivates me professionally is to ensure that our clients receive the best possible advice, to help our partners have the conditions to be successful, and to develop strong, long-term relationships with our clients to take advantage of our collaborative tools to address complex issues” – Manuel Galicia

For the past +15 years, Manuel has been a pioneer in implementing innovative policies and initiatives on Diversity and Inclusion creating Galicia´s Diversity, Pro Bono, and Sustainability Committees, as well as being part of the ESG coordination team. Manuel continues his efforts as a strong advocate for equality in the legal market in Mexico.

“Our goal cannot be limited to being Office #1 today. I think it is more important that our focus is the constant competition with ourselves so that in the long term we are the best organization in our sector, offering our members an environment and working conditions that allow us to enhance our qualities and capabilities and thus our development and happiness.

In a people business like ours, the most important thing is to collaborate with people who are better than you are and for that we must attract valuable talent for thinking, acting, and being different.

In that sense, for our organization to transcend we must form leaders whose illusion is the creation of an environment of respect, inclusion, diversity, and opportunities for the members to develop and be happy, feeling safe and proud of who we are.” – Manuel Galicia

Manuel has been decorated with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, in the grade of Knight’s Cross (2007) and with the Gold Medal of Honor for Services Rendered, in the grade of Knight’s Cross First Class of the Government of the Republic of Austria (2011).

He studied the Master of Comparative and International Law at the Southern Methodist University School of Law (Dallas, Texas, United States) and the Bachelor of Laws at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He has international experience as a foreign associate at Baker & Botts.

Manuel is founding partner of the firm. He acted as Managing Partner for almost 30 years and now chairs Galicia’s Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Firm’s Compensation, Business Development, Sustainability, and New Collaboration Model Committees.
