Virginia Martinez has more than 15 years of experience in insurance regulatory, corporate and litigation matters. She has in-depth knowledge of insurance and reinsurance distribution and pensions plans regulation, designing insurance distribution structures, drafting and negotiating all types of contracts in the insurance field and filing matters with the Spanish Insurance Regulator. She also has experience designing and adapting insurance products, having assisted in the launch of a variety of insurance products in Spain. She participated in several corporate transactions (bank-assurance alliances, portfolio transfers, mergers, VIF and reinsurance transactions), covering the regulatory requirements. As regards litigation matters, she acted in many disputes related to insurance, including professional liability claims, industrial risks, product liability, construction damages and resolution of insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes.
