Thomas Hagen is a partner with focus on intellectual property within various industries. He is also the former head of Schjødt's IP Practice Group and a member of Schjødt's Advisory Department. His principal areas of work are in IP disputes, negotiations, license agreements, technology heavy M&As and commercial contracts. Thomas works mainly with patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, as well as marketing law. He frequently advises on many of the largest and most complex IP issues, representing clients within the oil, gas and supply industry; life sciences, biotech, food and health; mechanical industry; fishery and aquaculture; and textile, furniture and sports industries.
Thomas has been a lawyer since 2008 and joined Schjødt in 2017. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of University of Bergen. Thomas has vast experience from courts, the Norwegian Board of Appeal for Industrial Property Rights (KFIR), law firms and IP firms. He is ranked as up and coming, a rising star, leading and recommended individual in several international rankings.
