Career

Stephanie Bergeron Perdue brings two decades of agency experience to her practice from her time spent with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), where she served in various capacities including Deputy Executive Director. During her time with the agency, she worked on a wide range of issues including National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS)/State Implementation Plan development, New Source Review (NSR) Air Permitting, Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) water quality permitting, water rights and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste issues. She worked extensively with internal agency emergency response staff as well as the Office of the Attorney General on responses to natural disasters. Stephanie also interacted with Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 staff throughout her tenure on federal programmatic issues, including TPDES, RCRA and NSR.

Stephanie's transition from the public sector has allowed her to continue to apply her multimedia background but with a more pronounced focus on water issues, including desalination projects which require multiple permit authorizations. Her work necessarily encompasses a deep understanding of public participation requirements and community engagement. She continues to track PFAS regulatory developments as well as TCEQ-enforcement related policies. Stephanie has represented clients in the favorable resolution of administrative and civil enforcement matters across media. Critical to achieving favorable outcomes in both the compliance and permitting framework is Stephanie's ability to maintain long standing, positive working relationships with both state and federal government counterparts.
