Katharine Burke serves as the firm's co-chair of its patent litigation department. Katharine focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation disputes, with significant experience leading and executing competitor litigation.
Katharine has deep experience across all phases of complex IP matters, including developing technical and legal strategies, managing large and cross-functional case teams, and presenting cases at trial. Her practice frequently involves coordinating parallel proceedings across multiple forums, including federal district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and related foreign litigations, requiring alignment of legal strategy with business objectives.
With a background in electrical engineering, Katharine represents clients in disputes involving a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, mobile operating systems and applications, flash memory, network protocols, and multimedia technologies, as well as significant experience in chemical manufacturing cases.
