Practice Areas

Søren serves as the practice group lead of Kromann Reumert's Information Technology, Defence and Outsourcing practice groups. He is admitted to practise as a lawyer in Danmark and solicitor of England and Wales (non practising).

Søren's practice focuses on large scale Technology, Defence, Cyber Security and Outsourcing Projects within various industries in Denmark and abroad, including in Europe and Asia.

In recent years, he has advised on some of the largest IT, outsourcing, cyber and defence projects and disputes in the Nordic markets as well as on cutting-edge technology projects, e.g. to minimise major project failure, and within cybersecurity, on models for distributed cloud in regulated environments and quantum computing. Often, Søren acts as trusted advisor assisting with both legal, strategical, technical, and financial advice in major deals.

Søren is ranked by global rating agencies as a leading lawyer for technology, cyber security and outsourcing, e.g. in 2024 by Chambers & Partners "as one of Denmark's leading experts in the IT sphere".

He is widely published on outsourcing, technology and defence, and he holds (or has held) various positions within these areas, including as Co-Chair of the IBA Technology Committee, president of the Danish Association of IT and Telecommunication Lawyers as well as Co-Chair of the IBA Presidential Task Force on Cyber Security.

Søren is a frequent speaker on national and international conferences on defence, cyber security, IT and outsourcing, most recently in Miami, Paris, Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo and Doha. He teaches as permanent faculty on (i) cyber security for senior management at the Copenhagen Business School's Executive Board Education and (ii) Arbitrator's Certified Education under the Danish Law Society.

Søren took his legal education from University of Copenhagen and Yale Law School. Previously, he has worked for the US law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton in London as well as the Danish Department of Justice.

Søren is major of the reserve in the Danish Army (Landsdelsregion Øst), serving as cyber security liaisons officer. He does voluntary work as member of the executive board of Unicef Denmark.
