Pia is a highly experienced IP and data protection specialist, admitted to the Danish Supreme Court. In the field of IP law, Pia advises on protection and enforcement of IP rights focusing on complex IP matters, both transactional and dispute handling, including disputes pending before administrative authorities such as the Danish Consumer Ombudsman and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. Pia’s main areas of IP expertise include advice to Danish and international clients on the protection and enforcement of soft IP rights, trade secrets and marketing law as well as commercial agreement on licensing, distribution, and franchise matters.

Furthermore, Pia is a second to none specialist within data protection law. Pia has advised on data protection and privacy law for more than 20 years and has gained unique experience and insight into every aspect of data protection regulation. She is recognized as a leading individual in Denmark in this field of law and handles advisory matters within all areas of data protection as well as complaint and litigation matters. Recent highlights include advising on GDPR aspects related to a number of corporate investigations on behalf of Denmark’s largest bank, Danske Bank.

Defends Taxa 4x35 in the first legal action of the GDPR against the Danish police concerning violation of the basic principles of the GDPR (2020).
