Sophie MacRae is engaged in a broad corporate/commercial and health law practice. She works with charitable, not-for-profit and for-profit entities.
As a member of Fasken’s Health Law practice group, Sophie provides regulatory advice relating to the regulation of healthcare facilities and providers.
Sophie also assists healthcare facilities and providers, as well as other organizations primarily in the charitable and not-for-profit sectors, in corporate/commercial matters, including mergers, amalgamations, re-organizations and other transactions. Sophie regularly provides advice on corporate governance, including with respect to establishing and maintaining charitable and not-for-profit corporations.
Sophie is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, Sophie obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. Sophie summered and articled at Fasken. She has also worked as in-house legal counsel at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and completed a legal internship at the Sinai Health System.
