Shelley joined Walkers Cayman Islands in 2010 after seven years at the Chancery Commercial Bar in London. She is a partner and specialist advocate in the IDR department, practising insolvency and asset recovery, trusts and commercial litigation. She leads the Walkers Cayman trusts disputes team.
Shelley specialises in complex multi-jurisdictional disputes and has represented Walkers' clients in courts at all levels up to the Privy Council. Her cases include some of the most significant Cayman Islands litigation of recent years including SPhinX, Al Sadik, Madoff and also Saad Investments in which she was has advised and represented the Grant Thornton liquidators in the liquidations, the Al Sanea litigation and the AHAB litigation for over 10 years.
