Shelley White is a partner in Insolvency & Dispute Resolution and heads Trust Disputes at Walkers, Cayman Islands. She specialises in insolvency, trusts and commercial litigation. Having practised at the Chancery Commercial Bar in London (2003-2010), Shelley is a specialist advocate, regularly representing clients in court.
INSOLVENCY: Shelley's practice includes large-scale liquidations with world-wide cross-border issues, representing companies, liquidators and creditors in all types of insolvency proceedings. She represented the Madoff Trustee and the liquidators of the principal Saad entities; the latter for 10+ years in numerous multi-billion dollar proceedings, liquidations and controllerships.
TRUSTS: Shelley acts for trustees, enforcers and beneficiaries in international trust disputes, including Unit Trust disputes; enforcer challenges; contested Beddoe applications; disputed removal of beneficiaries; probate; challenges to trustee decision-making; documents requests and enforcement against trust assets.
COMMERCIAL LITIGATION: Shelley's experience involves investment banks, corporate service providers, companies, directors, exempted limited partnerships and individuals. She's had substantial cases in the Grand Court, the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council, including commercial fraud, proprietary claims, breach of contract, enforcement of judgments, confidentiality, guarantees and breach of fiduciary duties.
