Career

Sean P. Fahey is a partner and chair of Troutman Pepper’s Health Sciences Department where he leads the group’s litigation, white collar, regulatory, intellectual property, and transactional practices. He has extensive experience serving as national coordinating and trial counsel in complex, multidistrict products liability and health care litigation. He represents several of the largest pharmaceutical, medical device, and life science companies in their high-stakes cases, and also serves as strategic settlement counsel and coordinating counsel in parallel litigation, including DOJ and regulatory investigations, and congressional hearings. He is sought out for his strategic advice and guidance, in the class action and MDL setting, by companies who need to evaluate global risk and resolution strategies, even as cases are being tried. He finds creative and logical ways to meet client objectives, assisting companies to focus on their goals at an early point in the litigation.
