Scott Hastings is a veteran Supreme Court advocate who has argued and won before the United States and Texas Supreme Courts. Scott has presented oral argument more than 45 times and has served as counsel of record in more than 200 appeals. Scott also maintains an active trial practice handling cases involving constitutional law, oil and gas, the federal False Claims Act, property rights, intellectual property, class actions, and commercial disputes. Scott has led many trial teams to successful judgments on both the plaintiff and defendant sides of the docket.
Scott is an elected member of the American Law Institute. He serves on the Board of Advisors for Vanderbilt University Law School. He began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge John Minor Wisdom of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
