SCOTT STEIN represents clients in high-stakes cases, including class actions and other complex commercial disputes. A significant focus of Scott’s practice involves representing clients in both government investigations and litigation arising under the False Claims Act (FCA). Scott serves as the Chief Editor of Sidley’s False Claims Act blog, and is a frequent author and presenter on pressing FCA topics. In addition, he regularly serves as an advisor to in-house counsel and serves as outside general counsel of a medical professional society. Scott also works on a variety of pro bono matters, and was awarded the 2022 Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service Award by United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
