Sang Pil Lee is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and his main practice areas include real estate and construction, litigation and arbitration, international transactions, insurance, maritime and shipping.

With extensive experience, Mr. Lee has provided a wide range of legal advisory services, litigation, and arbitration in the fields of construction, international trade, insurance, and transportation & maritime law for various domestic and international construction companies, shipping firms, financial institutions, and public agencies.

Since 2018, he has been consistently recognized as a “Leading Individual” by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific, a prestigious global legal ranking organization, and since 2023, has been ranked as a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific. In recognition of his expertise in arbitration, he was awarded the Arbitration Award at the Korea Legal Awards in 2019. Work Highlights

Successfully advised Hyundai Steel on a dispute involving additional freight costs claimed by Polaris Shipping and Hyundai Glovis due to a route change mandated by K-line to avoid war risks.

Successfully represented POSCO Plantec in a lawsuit against Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance and Dongbang Co., Ltd. for compensation and insurance payments after obsolete unloading equipment was damaged during transport.

Successfully represented SK Shipping in a product liability case against KOGAS for defects in LNG carriers' containment systems, causing annual losses exceeding KRW 120 billion.
