Sang Pil Lee is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and his main practice areas include real estate and construction, litigation and arbitration, international transactions, insurance, maritime and shipping, and media.
Mr. Lee has extensive experience advising domestic and foreign construction companies, shipping companies, financial institutions, and public institutions on transactions, litigation, and arbitration relating to construction, international transactions, insurance, transportation, and maritime issues. He has been ranked as a Leading Individual by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific since 2018 and was awarded the 2019 Korea Legal Awards Arbitration Grand Prize.

Work Highlights
Successfully advised Hyundai Steel on a dispute involving additional freight costs claimed by Polaris Shipping and Hyundai Glovis due to a route change mandated by K-line to avoid war risks.
Successfully represented POSCO Plantec in a lawsuit against Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance and Dongbang Co., Ltd. for compensation and insurance payments after obsolete unloading equipment was damaged during transport.
Successfully represented SK Shipping in a product liability case against KOGAS for defects in LNG carriers' containment systems, causing annual losses exceeding KRW 120 billion.
