Career

Rick Kline advises companies and financial institutions on a range of corporate and securities matters, including capital markets offerings, venture financings, M&A transactions, and corporate governance issues. Mr. Kline serves as Chair of the firm's Technology Industry Group and Bay Area Corporate Department.

A versatile corporate practitioner, Mr. Kline provides practical solutions to clients in significant transactional, compliance, and operational matters. He brings particular experience representing leading innovators and financiers in the technology sector, including within the software, digital health, digital media, and information technology spaces.

A significant focus of Mr. Kline’s work is capital markets transactions. He regularly represents both issuers and investment banks in complex equity securities offerings, including IPOs, direct listings, 144A offerings, and follow-on stock offerings.

Mr. Kline’s practice also includes company formations, venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, and a range of securities transactions.
