Ray has extensive experience in litigation and counseling on a variety of labor and employment and employee benefit matters. Ray’s litigation experience includes a wide range of employment discrimination/harassment/retaliation claims and other federal and state statutory employment claims, wrongful discharge claims, general employment contract and tort claims, non-compete/trade secret litigation, and collective wage and hour litigation under federal and state law. Ray has extensive experience in traditional labor litigation in Federal Courts, before the NLRB and in labor arbitration. Ray also has extensive experience in employee benefits litigation under ERISA, defending plans and administrators in individual and class action ERISA cases with a wide range of areas, including retirement, disability, health and life insurance benefit denial cases; breach of fiduciary duty claims; claims for alleged “appropriate equitable relief”; claims of interference with protected rights; and monetary penalty claims.

Education
