Intellectual Property and Privacy

As a Senior Associate Lawyer, Pedro’s IP/TMT practice includes IP enforcement and protection in regard to trademarks, designs and patents, as well as consultancy in regard to industrial property, software and IT.

Pedro was appointed as an arbitration judge of ARBITRARE, the only institutionalized Portuguese arbitration center for industrial property, domain names, firms and denominations.

Pedro is also an European Trade Mark and Design Attorney and Official Industrial Property Agent.

Pedro has a law degree, Lusíada University, Faculty of Law and a masters degree in Law (Legal Corporate Sciences) Lusíada University, Faculty of Law (2015); PhD in Law (Industrial Property) Lusíada University, Faculty of Law (2015 until now); Industrial Property Law Course, Lusíada University, Faculty of Law; Post-Graduation in Pharmaceutical and Medicament Law, University of Coimbra, Faculty of Law and Centre for Biomedical Law; Post-graduation in Medicine Law, University of Coimbra, Faculty of Law and Centre for Biomedical Law.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association; APDI Member (Portuguese Association of Intellectual Law).

APDI Member (Portuguese Association of Intellectual Law); Researcher at the Center for Legal, Economic and Environmental Studies (CEJEA) of the Lusíada Institute for Research and Development (ILID); Scientific Coordinator of the Post-Graduation in Personal Data Protection Law at the Law School of the Universidade Lusíada – Norte (Porto); Founding Associate and Member of the Intellectual Property Committee of JALP – International Association of Portuguese Language Young Lawyers.
