Paul Wanders is a partner in our Amsterdam office and focuses on real estate transactions. He practices commercial leasing law and is an experienced litigator in all kinds of real estate matters. He also advises clients in liability law, including professional liability matters, in which he represents attorneys, estate agents, civil-law notaries and their insurers on all aspects of their practices, e.g.in corporate, real estate as well as in inheritance law related matters. Paul also represents professionals in disciplinary proceedings.
Paul lectures on landlord and tenant law at the University of Amsterdam for the Amsterdam School of Real Estate and the Estate Agency Training Centre.
Paul is involved on a regular basis in real estate related transactions for inter alia Aachener Grund, Altera Vastgoed, Bouwinvest, HVBM, Peek & Cloppenburg, Union Investment and others.

Bouwinvest: Advising on the acquisition of the ‘Central Park’ office building at the heart of Utrecht’s Central Business District from a JV between AFP International and Angelo Grodon.
A German investment fund: Advising on the sale of a 10,000 sqare meter office building in Rotterdam to Hotel Rotterdam Alexander B.V., which will be transformed into a hotel.
Aachener Grund: Advising on acquisitions of retail properties in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Den Bosch; Altera.
Altera: Advising Altera on the sale of its complete office portfolio ("Zenith portfolio") to Goldman Sachs, and the sale of its retail portfolio to Och Ziff.
BouwInvest: Advising on the acquisition of Hourglass in Amsterdam, a new development by Maarsen/Brouwershoff.
DBN: Advising on the sale of a major retail portfolio to a German group.
MPC: Advising on the sale of various properties in the Netherlands, including the Zandkasteel (the Sand Castle), the head offices of ING Bank, in Amsterdam Zuidoost to ING and a consortium of G&S Vastgoed and OVG.
Nationale Postcode Loterij: Advising on the disposal of its office portfolio in Amsterdam.
Plaza West: Advising a private collaborative partnership, on the purchase of a land holding in Haarlem from Cobraspen Beheer B.V., and subsequently the disposal of the development potential for approximately 600 homes and 10,000 m² of retail space to funds managed by Syntrus Achmea.
Union Investment: on the purchase and sale of various real estate projects in the Netherlands, including the acquisition of the ‘FIRST’ newly built project in Rotterdam from a consortium of Maarsen Groep and MAB and the disposal of The Monarch in The Hague to a fund managed by Amundi.
