Joris De Vos is a partner in Dentons’ Brussels office. He has established and leads the office’s Restructuring and Litigation and Dispute Resolution practices.
Joris has more than 20 years’ experience assisting companies in financial distress in restructuring, liquidation and bankruptcy processes. He also advises on the acquisition of distressed companies and assists financial institutions and other creditors in relation to the recovery of loans or claims.
An experienced litigator, Joris represents companies, shareholders and managing directors in a wide variety of commercial, liability and corporate matters, including post-acquisition litigation, D&O liability cases, insolvency, liability, real estate and white-collar criminal procedures before civil courts, criminal courts, and arbitral tribunals. He provides advice to authorities, national and multinational companies on insolvency law, real estate law, corporate law, ADR, criminal law and liability law.
In 2023 Joris was accredited as mediator in civil and commercial matters, which leverages his experience in relation to Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He has written several articles on insolvency and dispute resolution and is a regular guest speaker at seminars.
