Oscar is a partner at Consortium Legal – Costa Rica. Oscar has more than 27 years of experience in corporate law, banking and finance law, private equity, mergers & acquisitions.

Oscar advises public and private local and international banking institutions as well as multilateral financial institutions – and other credit parties – in corporate law and in structuring, documenting, and closing complex credit facilities. He has led multiple private equity transactions and merger and acquisition transactions, including cross-border transactions. In addition, he advises and assists boards of directors in corporate matters and corporate governance.

He was in charge of the creation and development of the legal department of a regional financial institution and managed such department for more than 5 years. His experience also includes litigation in civil and commercial matters, and he is a commercial law professor at the University of Costa Rica.
