Fabiola is a partner and Director of the Intellectual Property Department at Consortium Legal Costa Rica. With more than 22 years of experience counseling clients in the Intellectual Property field, she specializes on the cosmetics, financial, food and beverages sector. Fabiola has a vast experience in managing large trademark and patent portfolios. Among the diverse matters of the Intellectual Property field she handles, her primary focus is on the assessment of opportunities, liabilities, risks and strategies for businesses, based on the client´s intangibles. Her commitment is to help clients achieve and fully develop their IP potential. Fabiola leads matters related to trademarks, patents, copyrights, infringement, and regulatory issues.

Throughout her professional career she has grown to be a trusted and respected leader in the IP Industry based on her knowledge and high standards of assessment. She has been prosecutor for the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Bar Association and is currently treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican IP Association (APPICR), member of the Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Committee of ASIPI and of the Copyrights Committee at INTA.

She is also active within the Costa Rican Bar Association, where she is coordinator of the Intellectual Property Committee and member of the Committee for Uniform Law and International Commerce. She is an active writer on Intellectual Property emerging topics such as Blockchain, NTF´s and new technologies, where forums like Lex Latin and Lexology have published her work. She has also been a speaker on conferences with special focus on IP trends.

Fabiola is also passionate for social impact activities, and as a member of Consortium Legal, she is the coordinator of the Environmental Committee. She is also a member of the Gender and Diversity Committee, where she works actively in favor of this specific sector.
