Maurice is a partner at Galicia and co-heads the Capital Markets and Corporate Finance practice groups. He works closely with the Firm’s Energy, ESG, M&A and Tax areas, specifically on securities and financing transactional work.
He advises clients on lending and capital markets transactions as well as securities regulation. He has represented companies and investment banks in domestic and cross-border equity and debt offerings, tender offers and securitizations as well as borrowers and lenders in domestic and cross-border financings. He is also recognized as a leader in Mexico for sustainable financings and is part of Galicia’s ESG team.
He is the secretary of the board of directors for several Mexican companies and applies his knowledge and expertise in corporate governance and securities regulatory compliance.
Maurice has experience in multiple sectors, including hospitality, entertainment, financial services, retail and real estate.
He holds a Law Degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho and a Master of Laws Degree from Northwestern University School of Law. He also obtained a Certificate in Business Administration from Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Additionally, he worked as a foreign associate at Clifford Chance’s office in New York.
