Rodrigo Rivera

Rodrigo has been passionate about the banking system and financing transactions since the beginning of his career. After years of working as an in-house counsel for the corporate and investment banking department at one of the largest banks in Mexico, he joined Galicia and became a partner.

He represents national and international banks, as well as creditors, from a range of industries, helping clients in the structuring and negotiation of financing transactions, such as corporate, real estate, domestic, international, state, municipal, project and debt financing as well as debt restructuring and secured transactions. He has also advised banks and regulated financial entities in the analysis and regulatory compliance of their businesses.

He obtained a Law Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and holds an LL.M. from New York University. He also worked as a foreign associate in Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in the New York office.
