Matthew Fusina

Matthew Fusina is a partner in the Global Projects Practice at Baker Botts. Matt provides legal counsel on the development and finance of energy and infrastructure projects and has particular strength in LNG, natural gas and hydrogen-related transactions. Matt’s practice encompasses the entire lifecycle of the project development process. He regularly assists clients with front-end project development and joint venture arrangements and negotiating commodity sale agreements and tolling arrangements.

Matt has extensive current LNG experience assisting clients with developing liquefaction and regasification projects, including floating liquefaction and LNG-to-power projects, and advising on the marketing and purchase of LNG and natural gas. He also advises clients with respect to the operation and expansion of LNG facilities.

Matt has focused his career on helping clients develop and launch energy infrastructure projects. In addition to his LNG and natural gas practice, Matt is actively involved with helping clients to navigate and develop projects in the energy transition and battery storage development spaces. He also represents end users in a wide variety of derivative transactions and trading matters, including commodity transactions and structuring arrangements for the sale and purchase of voluntary carbon offsets.
