Martín Pesce has specialized in data protection and leads the FERRERE new technologies and data protection team.

He advises local and international companies including, Equifax, Uber, IBM, Scotiabank, Meta, Diageo and Microsoft, among others. He has been appointed by multinational corporations as Data Protection Officer (DPO) to represent them vis-à-vis Uruguay’s Personal Data Authority.

He is chair for Uruguay of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and Uruguayan representative to the Latin American Privacy Association.

He is the author of numerous specialized articles for national and international publications and is a regular contributor to IAPP, ItechLaw, DataGuidance and Bloomberg Law.

He teaches Information Technology Law I and II at the Law School of Universidad de la República.

He participates frequently in academic events and as speaker in Uruguay and abroad.
