Montserrat Puente is a counsel at FERRERE and leads the IP and Regulatory practice at its Paraguay office.

She advises local and foreign clients on a broad range of intellectual property and regulatory matters. Additionally, her practice includes issues such as advertising, regulatory compliance on personal data protection and e-commerce, and protection of intangible assets focusing on new technologies.

Her practice includes advising clients on the management of trademark portfolios, trademark and patent prosecutions, and complex IP matters. She also has extensive experience working with local regulatory agencies on matters of marketing authorizations, and regulatory aspects of distribution agreements, imports, and exports. Montserrat has advised companies on projects related to operation of health care facilities, as well as on initiatives related to telemedicine.

Montserrat is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Inter-American Intellectual Property Association (ASIPI), where she participates actively on working committees.

Invited lecturer at the Training Course for Innovation Managers, organized by the Paraguayan Business Innovation Program (PROINNOVA), the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the National University of Asunción.

Extensive local and international experience as a speaker at events related to his area of practice.
